Kishi is a Co-owned pet. For owners who are exceptionally dedicated to the breed, we will occasionally place breeding prospects that have no intention of being shown. These dogs live out their lives as beloved pets and only come back to us for health testing and litters. Because Skyes are so few in number, this program allows us to maintain genetic diversity without placing stress or pressure on owners. Instead of titles we take videos and stacks that we evaluate with a handful of other breeders and potential stud owners. The breed relies on these amazing dogs and selfless people to ensure the next generation.
About Kishi
Kishi lives very close to us, and we are blessed to have her in the Skyward family. Kishi is very similar to her sister in temperament, which is exactly the predictability we hope to achieve in our puppies. Kishi is low energy and low drive. Kishi also has a low prey drive, which is becoming more common in Skye terriers. Because of this, Kishi is able to live full-time with her best friend- Furi, an orange cat. Unlike Lua, Kishi adores attention and it happy to meet anyone willing to give her attention. Kishi is very food driven, which makes her a better candidate for dog sports. Kishi has been taking nosework classes which has been an amazing enrichment activity for both her and her mom.
