Zuma is an exciting young dog that made quite the splash in 2024. Zuma started his show career in 2022 quickly gaining his CH with 2, 5 point majors, a 4 point major, and a handful of points owner handled. Zuma debuted as a special at the 2023 BCCNC Specialty, going Select dog. The same weekend he took 2 best of breed wins under esteemed breed judges. Zuma finished his Grand Championship going BISS at the BCCGLA Specialty, becoming the first Skyward dog to receive this honor, but that’s just the beginning. Zuma went on to win Back to Back Owner Handled Group 1’s, Reserve Best in Show OH under Danelle Brown, and Best in Show Owner Handled under Pat Trotter.

Zuma was campaigned in 2024 with Trina & Mikael Matteson. He was guided to over 75 Best of Breeds, 8 group 4’s, 9 group 3’s, 7 group 2’s, 6 group 1’s and Reserve Best in Show!!

Zuma finished as the #2 Border Collie AKC all systems and Select dog at WKC. He is also Cruft Qualified 2024-2026! 
 

Owner- Handled at the BCSA specialty Zuma took home Regular and Owner Handled Top 20, Runner-Up Best Bred-by Exhibitor, and AOM. 
 

Zuma’s movement is hands down one of his strongest qualities. His lovely front assembly, length of upper arm, short hocks, and length of body lends itself well to this. He's a biddable dog that picks up new behaviors very fast. He is gentle when he needs to be, but loves to act on his drive. Zuma can switch from treats to toys easily, both of which he will work for until you say stop. 
 

Zuma has been started on sheep and completed training up to PT level, but not yet trialed. His training will continue March 2025. He has 2 fun jumps in Dock Diving with a PB of 13’2”
