Unlike her brother Dreamer, Grace had no interest in the show ring—and that was just fine with us. At Skyward, we believe our dogs should enjoy what they do, and Grace made it clear that her passion lies outside the ring, not inside it. While her brother collected ribbons, Grace was busy perfecting her true calling: chasing beach birds with single-minded determination.
About Grace
Grace embodies everything we love about Skye Terriers—independent, bold, and brimming with prey drive. Her instincts are sharp, her focus unwavering, and her joy undeniable. She is a living reminder of the breed’s working heritage, and preserving that natural drive is just as important to us as success in the show ring.
Rather than asking Grace to be something she’s not, we chose a different path for her. She has been privately evaluated by breed specialists to ensure she meets the standard, allowing her to spend less time at shows and more time being exactly who she was meant to be. Whether she’s sprinting along the shore or keeping a watchful eye over her family, Grace is proof that the best dogs aren’t just champions in the ring—they’re champions of their own adventures
